02.  University appointment, USA

03.  Ashiya Section, Japan
Announcing the formal recognition of the Ashiya Section of the International Dance Council CID. A CID Section is the official representative body for all forms of dance in a city and as such it is recognized by public authorities. Members are encouraged to found the Section of their city.

04.  Grant for research
For research on dance history, focusing on how the art of dance was influenced by political changes in the 20th century. Amount is 8,000 euros (10,500 US dollars), deadline is 30 April 2012. Open to advanced researchers from all countries.

05.  Byzantine dance
A period of ten centuries has been totally unknown to dance scholars: the Byzantine Empire. Now a website presents the outcome of a pioneering research.

06.  Isadora Duncan workshop in Athens
In the footsteps of Isadora, founder of modern dance. The national Dora Stratou Dance Theatre of Athens and the Isadora Duncan International Institute of New York open registrations for a workshop in Athens 9-13 July 2012, including classes, lectures, guided visits, documentation. Instructor: Dr. Jeanne Bresciani.
